29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or about July 14, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that each authorized employee was trained on the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control, or the type and magnitude of energy associated with the machines, such as, but not limited to, Grinding Plant 6 - Conveyor #3 and the associated electrical energy. As a result, employees were exposed to caught-in, and caught-between hazards associated with moving parts and pinch points on the machinery.
