29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv):Strain relief. Flexible cords shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a. On or before July 20, 2022, at a worksite located at 134 Chapman Drive, Lot 324, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: the employer failed to ensure strain relief was provided to cords so that the pull was not directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. Employees used an air compressor cord where the plug of the cord had separated from the jacket of the cord, thereby exposing employees to a 123-volt electrical contact hazard.
