29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers is not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it is stable and secure against sliding and collapse: a. The freight, offloaded from a semi-trailer and brought into the store room, is arranged in a manner that is unstable and not secure. On June 8, 2022, at 4840 W. 211th St., Matteson, IL 60443, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from unsecure freight that was not stable and stacked at heights exceeding seventy-two (72) inches. The Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1451149, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on August 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at Fairlane Village Mall, 7230 Fairlane Village Mall, Pottsville, PA 17901.
