29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: a) American Dream, 400 Main Rd. Tiverton, RI: On or about 5/19/22 the employer did not ensure that employees conducting work in flammable/explosive environments were provided and utilized intrinsically safe tools in that an employee was utilizing spark producing (non-intrinsically safe) Hercules 12V 3/8" RATCHET while conducting work on gasoline and diesel supply lines of a gas station pump. b) American Dream, 400 Main Rd. Tiverton, RI: On or about 5/19/22 an employee had set up a Hercules battery charger which was connected to the building power by a cord and plug extension cord and was actively charging a battery located on the self-serve windshield washing station adjacent to the the gasoline and diesel supply lines of the gas station that he was performing repair work.
