29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i):The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a. On or before May 4, 2022, the employer failed to conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually for the Line 1 auger. An employee was cleaning out residual material from the auger without a documented procedure having been inspected within the previous year. During this covered activity, the employee was exposed to caught-in hazards from the danger zone of the auger.
