Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. (a) Hanwha Q Cells USA, Inc.: On or about 4/7/2022, and times prior, the employer exposed employees to hazardous energy, in that the employer failed to provide required training of Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) to employees performing service and maintenance on electrical equipment including, but not limited to, dust collectors. The Hanwha Q Cells USA, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1382595, citation number two (2) Item number one (1) and was affirmed as a final order on 11/19/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 300 Nexus Drive, Dalton GA, 30721.
