29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: This violation occurred on or before April 6, 2022, in that: (a) In the storeroom the exit route was obstructed with boxed product impeding employees escape and exposing them to burn and inhalation hazards in the event of an emergency. (b) At the back of the store the exit route was obstructed with empty boxes and trash impeding employees escape and exposing them to burn and inhalation hazards in the event of an emergency. (c) Aisle 2 which is the main exit route from the back storeroom to the front of the store was obstructed with boxed product on the floor on both sides of the route impeding employees escape and exposing them to burn and inhalation hazards in the event of an emergency. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a triple-repeat serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1443653, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on April 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2708 Renaissance Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76105.
