29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. 987 U.S. 1, Edison, NJ - Supercharged Entertainment The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls. Employees engaged in commercial building activities used a JLG, Model 460SJ aerial lift for access to the roof, disconnected their fall protection, began working at or near the outside edge of the structure and were not attached with a fall harness and lanyard or had any other means of fall protection.
