29 CFR 1926.651(h)(2): Where water was controlled or prevented from accumulating by use of water removal equipment, the water removal equipment and operations were not monitored by a competent person to ensure proper operation: a. On or about March 28, 2022, at 3405 South Orlando Drive, Sanford, FL, two employees were working at the bottom of a 12 foot deep trench where a local point dewatering system used to control ground water intrusion was not monitored by a competent person, and approximately two feet of water was accumulating in the trench, increasing the risk of a trench collapse. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
