29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. a) Sidewalk Shed scaffold above the front entrance of the building: On or about March 14, 2022, two employees climbed onto a sidewalk shed and walked across it to access a suspended scaffold that was positioned on top of that sidewalk shed scaffold. The sidewalk shed scaffold did not have guardrail systems, and the employees were not using personal fall arrest systems or protected by safety net or other fall protection systems. The employees were exposed to falling approximately 13.5 feet to the lower level. b) Sidewalk Shed scaffold above the front entrance of the building: On or about March 21, 2022, an employee climbed onto a sidewalk shed to access a suspended scaffold that was positioned on top of that sidewalk shed scaffold, perpendicular away from the wall. The sidewalk shed scaffold did not have guardrail systems, and the employee was not using personal fall arrest systems or protected by safety net or other fall protection systems. The employee was exposed to falling approximately 13.5 feet to the lower level.
