29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: On or about 03/10/2022, the employer did not ensure that eye protective equipment was used when: A: Workers were exposed to eye injury while using pneumatic nail guns and no eye protection was in use. B: Workers were exposed to eye injury while using a gas powered blower and no eye protection was in use. The employer (Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1249393, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/22/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1841 Lebanon Ave, Apartment 4-12, Belleville, IL 62226. The employer (Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1359440, citation number 1, item number 1B and was affirmed as a final order on 04/05/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2415 Lebanon Ave, The Hanger, Belleville, IL 62221. The employer (Rodrigues Siding and Roofing LLC) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1419052, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/31/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 17496 Princeton Ridge Court, Eureka, MO 63025.
