29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power press was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: a) Fulton Industries, Inc. located at 135 E. Linfoot Street, Wauseon, OH: On or about March 21, 2022, the employer did not establish and follow a program of periodic or regular inspections for press #252 (Havir Manufacturing Co. 1 1/2 full revolution punch press machine) to ensure that all parts, including all mechanical press parts and safeguards, were in a safe operating condition. Employees and temporary workers were tasted to operate machine #252 were exposed to crush and point of operation hazards from press deficiencies in that the overhead restraint device had been removed and not properly installed prior to operation and the employer does not perform periodic, regular or weekly inspections for Machine #252.
