29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c): a) On February 28, 2022, an employee was not protected from the hazard of cave-in while working in a trench measuring approximately 7 feet in depth. Capps Plumbing and Sewer, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1565815, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 10, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 5212 Briarcrest Lane, Long Grove, Illinois 60047. Capps Plumbing and Sewer, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1258097, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 27, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 221 N.
