29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1):The employer shall train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of this section. The employer shall institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program. a) 214 Gates Rd Little Ferry, NJ: An employee using hammers and automatic wrenches to remove dried concrete from framing was monitored for 464 minutes and was exposed to continuous noise at 94.2 decibels averaged over 8-hours with zero exposure averaged for any unsampled time. The equivalent dose was 181% of OSHAs Permissible Exposure Limit for Noise, which is 90 decibels. The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of this section on or about February 17, 2022. b) 214 Gates Rd Little Ferry, NJ: An employee using hammers and automatic wrenches to remove dried concrete from framing was monitored for 454 minutes and was exposed to continuous noise at 97.7 decibels averaged over 8-hours with zero exposure averaged for any unsampled time. The equivalent dose was 292% of OSHAs Permissible Exposure Limit for Noise, which is 90 decibels. The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of this section on or about February 17, 2022.
