29 CFR 1926.502(d)(13): Employees used self-retracting lifelines or lanyards, automatically limiting free fall distance to 2 feet (0.61 m) or less, that were not capable of sustaining a minimum tensile load of 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN) applied to the device. a) Worksite, 211 North Main Street, Stillwater, New York, Roof of Facility: On or about February 09, 2022, an employee was using two retractable lifelines daisy chained together and connected to a horizontal lifeline system while working from the roof of a commercial building approximately 36-feet above the ground. The retractable lifelines and the horizontal lifeline system did not limit free fall distance to 2-feet.
