Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i):Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors: a) Bucyrus Railcar Repair, Area next to Track #4, on or about January 21st, 2022 and times prior thereto: Employees were potentially exposed to a fire/explosion hazard while storing containers of flammable liquid (or paint) (Rust-Oleum brand Touch n' Tone Red Primer) directly next to a Universal Model 250 LP Gas Heater that was in active operation. Two ten-ounce cans of primer were stored directly next to the heater. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
