29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii):The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used: Employee(s) engaged in disposing of chemical products down the truck wash bay floor drain inside the truck maintenance building located at 1915 Kansas City Road, Olathe, Kansas were exposed to toxic vapor inhalation hazards due to no specific procedures being developed or implemented to prevent the mixing of incompatible chemical products. On or about January 12, 2022, employees pouring chemical products down the truck wash bay floor drain, caused a chemical reaction that resulted in toxic chemical vapors being released.
