29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; (a) Golden Aluminum, Inc., 1405 E 14th St., Ft Lupton, CO 80621; On or before November 10, 2021, the employer did not select personal protective equipment that adequately protected employees from hazards at the workplace. Employees working to shut down an aluminum caster were wearing tap coats and chaps. An employee was splashed with molten aluminum. The tap coat and chaps worn by the employees did not protect them resulting in one employee suffering burns on the back of their thighs. This condition exposed employees to burn hazards.
