29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). (a) Jobsite located at 27 Chipmunk Ln, Media, PA: The employer failed to perform a jobsite assessment to determine what PPE was needed to protect employees who were performing tree trimming and removal. Employees operating a chipper were not protected with personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to cut-resistant leg protection. Condition noted on or about the 4-month period of June 26 - October 26, 2021.
