29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier, signal word, hazard statement(s), pictogram(s), precautionary statement(s) and name, address, and telephone number of the chemical manufacturer, importer, or other responsible party: Boulder Scientific Company, LLC., 598 Third Street, Mead, CO 80542: On or about October 22, 2021, chemical containers found inside and outside the Mars Lab were incorrectly labeled. These chemicals include, but are not limited to; the following: a) Employees tasked with working near and/or around the feed and reactor tanks were exposed to chemical hazards in that the alcohol vessels marked methanol were not properly labeled with product identifiers and hazard warning information for the contents within. b) Employees tasked with working near and/or around the feed and reactor tanks were exposed to chemical hazards in that a mixed solvent vessel marked hexane - buti was not properly labeled with product identifiers and hazard warning information for the contents within. c) Employees tasked with working near and/or around the feed and reactor tanks were exposed to chemical hazards in that a process vessel marked Intermediate 1 was not properly labeled with product identifiers and hazard warning information for the contents within. d) Employees tasked with working near and/or around the feed and reactor tanks were exposed to chemical hazards in that a waste drain bottle marked 7043 +THF was not properly labeled with product identifiers and hazard warning information for the contents within. e) Employees tasked with working near and/or around the feed and reactor tanks were exposed to chemical hazards in that a triple rinsed 55 gallon drum marked acetone was not properly labeled with product identifiers and hazard warning information for the contents within.
