29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: The employer did not ensure that projecting and rotating shaft ends on two Blower Machines in the Workshop department were guarded with non-rotating cap or safety sleeve: a) On each side of Blower Machine #1, rotating shaft ends approximately 1.3-inch in diameter that projected approximately 3.2-inches, were not guarded. b) On each side of Blower Machine #4, rotating shaft ends approximately 1.4-inch in diameter that projected approximately 2.8-inches, were not guarded.
