29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) Worksite at 621 Main St, Boonton, NJ and corporate office at 649 Catherine St, Perth Amboy, NJ The employer did not ensure that employees sanding paint from the side of a building had been informed of lead and chromium health hazards. OSHA analysis of paint flakes from the building and on the ground beside the building indicated the presence of lead at 4.5, 5.2, 6.2 and 8.0 percent, and for cadmium at 0.007, 0.0091 and 0.0313 percent. Violation occurred on or about 09/24/2021.
