29 CFR 1926.761(b): Fall Hazard Training. The employer did not train each employee exposed to a fall hazard in accordance with the requirements of this section. The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program. The program did not include training and instruction in the following area: (1) The recognition and identification of fall hazards in the work area. Site: 310 Hudson Street in New York, NY. On or about 9/14/2021, a) Employees were installing bolts to a steel beam on the 5th floor. One of the employees entered the opening for an elevator shaft and fell approximately 60 feet to the 1st floor. Employees were not trained to recognize and identify fall hazards in their work area.
