Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(q)(9): When the temperature of any part of any truck is found to be in excess of its normal operating temperature, thus creating a hazardous condition, the vehicle shall be removed from service and not returned to service until the cause for such overheating has been eliminated. Building 5: On or about 9/16/2021 and at times prior to, the employer failed to remove and place out of service an overheating powered industrial truck, exposing operators to unsafe operating conditions.
