Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee used, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces: (a) Mill 6, Flooring Rip Line - Any employee who operated the Precision Parts Connection LLC inverted swing cut-off (jump) saw, known as Cutter #2, had to walk across the 6-foot cut back belt conveyor to get into or out of the work station at the saw. At the Cutter #2 work station, the conveyor had no safe means for an employee to access the 23-inch high conveyor belt, exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about August 27, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
