The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The employer is failing to protect employees from struck by hazards associated with tree trimming activities. This violation was most recently documented on July 27, 2021 at the jobsite located at 1614 S 96th St., Omaha Nebraska where the employer has employees performing tree trimming operations without having performed a hazard assessment prior to employees beginning work.
