29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee exposed to an unprotected side or edge of a stairway landing that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected by a guardrail or stair rail system: (a) Back side of building, meat department staircase: On or about 7/21/2021, the employer did not provide a steel railing on the staircase to safely access the docking area of the building where employees were exposed to fall hazards. (b) Back side of building, produce department staircase: On or about 7/21/2021, the employer did not replace a damaged steel railing on the staircase and upper perimeter to provide safe access to the docking area of the building where employees were exposed to fall hazards.
