29 CFR 1926.959(d)(3)(i):1926.959(d)(3)(i): The energized lines or equipment exposed to contact shall be covered with insulating protective material that will withstand the type of contact that could be made during the operation. On or about June 21, 2021, employees engaged in power distribution construction at site Wild Rye #2 near Big Spring, TX, were exposed to electrocution hazards as the employer failed to ensure the energized lines or unenergized lines had insulating cover while performing hot crossing operations.
