Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) 8935 W. U.S. Hwy 98, Port Saint Joe, Florida: On or about June 2, 2021, the employer failed to ensure employees exposed to falls over 34 feet to a concrete surface while performing painting tasks around a wall opening were provided with a training program to recognize the hazards of falling and to minimize the hazards to include using fall protection or installing a guardrail system.
