29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Cross braces were used as a means of access: a. 1650-1660 US 22 East & Vauxhall Rd., Union, NJ - Treasure Island Storage - Union The employer did not ensure safe access to scaffold platforms when the platform was greater than two feet above the point of access. Employees engaged in masonry activities working from a two tier, welded tubular frame scaffold used the cross braces and frames to access the scaffold platform. Violation observed on or about May 6, 2021
