Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d)(3):All energy isolating devices that were needed to control the energy to the machine or equipment were not physically located and operated in such a manner as to isolate the machine or equipment from the energy source(s): The employer is failing to protect employees from potential hazardous energy. This was most recently documented on or about April 2, 2021 at a workplace located at 8121 US Hwy 69, Kansas City, Missouri. Employees were exposed to hazardous energies associated while servicing Capacity Trailer Spotting Tractor #22, in that, the blocking devices, wheel chocks, were not located near the industrial trucks so as to prevent the accidental moving of the vehicle that was being serviced by the employees.
