29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check: a. On or about March 30, 2021, at the USMS upper level area in the Federal Operations building, San Juan, PR, the 10-pound, ABC dry chemical portable fire extinguisher, wall mounted next to the kitchenette entrance door, was not subjected to an annual maintenance check (maintenance check record tag was expired). b. On or about March 30, 2021, at the USMS lower level area in the Federal Operations building, San Juan, PR, the 10-pound, ABC dry chemical portable fire extinguisher, mounted on the column between the refrigerator and the paper shredding machine, was not subjected to an annual maintenance check (maintenance check record tag was expired). Note: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
