29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition: On or about February 23, 2021, the employer failed to ensure that employees were completing a thorough examination of their powered industrial vehicles (including but not limited to a motorized ride on double pallet jack, Crown #1740 and Crown #1623) prior to the vehicles being placed into service.
