29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a. On or about April 20, 2021, and at times prior, authorized employees who used lockout for energy control in the Large Pack Area and Packaging Line were not included in a periodic inspection review of their responsibilities under the energy control procedure. Employees utilized lockout/tagout to perform clearing of jams on the conveyor lines associated with the Large Pack Area and Packaging Line area.
