29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) was used, and at least annually thereafter: On or about November 11, 2020, employees were exposed to respiratory stressors associated with being required to wear N95 filtering facepieces while manufacturing a water-activated product used to generate chlorine dioxide and the employer did not ensure that employees were fit tested prior to requiring them to wear the respirator. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
