29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about August 27, 2020, during the installation of roofing material at a job site located at 1570 Hawthorn Ct. N. Canton OH 44720; the employer did not ensure employees working on a roof of a single family home were protected from a fall of approximately 11.6 feet by utilizing a fall protection system. The Roofing Specialties LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(13) duty to have fall protection, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1457473, citation number 01, item number 03A and was affirmed as a final order on (3/16/20), with respect to a workplace located at Cottage Grove And Skyview Rd, Green, OH 44232.
