Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1430(b): The employer did not train each employee assigned to work as a signal persons who does not meet the requirements of 1926.1428(c) in the areas addressed in that paragraph: a) Madison Dam Civil Project: On or about July 13, 2020 and at times prior employees were exposed to shock and burns while placing concrete blocks below the energized 100,000-volt overhead power lines with a Link Belt TCC 750 crane. The employer failed to train the assigned signal person know and understand: the type of signals used, the Standard Method for hand signals, the application of the type of signals used, equipment operation and limitations, the relevant requirements of 1926.1419 through 1926.1422 and 1926.1428, and demonstrate that the requirements in paragraphs (c)(1) through (4) of this section were met through oral and practical testing.
