Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: a) Roof, Queen of the World Catholic Church, 134 Queen Road in St. Marys, PA. On or about June 26, 2020, employees working on the roof were not trained to recognize the hazards of falling and in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize fall hazards. Employees working on the roof were exposed to a 20-foot fall. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
