29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator. Location: Throughout the 11th Floor The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation & Healing Center 150 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10024. On April 23, 2020 and there after, employees worked in a medical environment that required the use of respirators and were exposed to COVID-19. The employer provided N95 respirator protection. a) Employees working as Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and aides were required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators when providing direct care to COVID-19 positive patients or patients under investigation for COVID-19 infection. The employer did not ensure these employees were fit tested prior to their initial use of the N95 respirator. b) Employees working as housekeepers were required to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators when entering and cleaning the rooms of COVID-19 positive patients or patients under investigation for COVID-19 infection. The employer did not ensure these employees were fit tested prior to their initial use of the N95 respirator.
