29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) PB-15 "Dino" Svartek grinder: On or about April 7, 2020 and at times prior thereto a barrier guard was not in place to keep employees away from the zone of danger created when pneumatic pressure was used to move the shovel cylinder guide rods in and retracted out of the grinder. This area was below the stairs leading to the grinder. Note) Corrected during inspection.
