29 CFR 1910.106(e)(2)(iv)(d): Flammable liquids were not drawn from or transferred into vessels, containers, or portable tanks within a building only through a closed piping system, from safety cans, by means of a device drawing through the top, or from a container or portable tanks by gravity through an approved self-closing valve: Spray Finishing: An employee engaged in spray finishing operations, is required to dispense from five gallon containers of Category 2 & 3 flammable liquids, including, but not limited to, Sherwin Williams lacquer thinner and Sherwood Kemlar, without means of a device drawing through the top or an approved self-closing valve. The employer did not ensure that flammable liquids, such as, but not limited, to Sherwin Williams lacquer thinner and Sherwood Kemlar, were drawn from containers by means of a device drawing through the top or by gravity through an approved self-closing valve, on or about 2/5/20.
