29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: Dollar Tree Store #4484, Fairlane Village Mall, Stockroom: a) Boxes of merchandise, stacked higher than the walk-in cooler, were observed leaning to one side. The boxes were not stacked in a manner to prevent sliding or collapse, exposing employees to a struck-by hazard, on or about December 16, 2019. b) Stacked boxes of merchandise up to approximately 8 feet high were observed leaning to one side. The boxes, near the employee break area, created a struck-by hazard for employees trying to take a break, on or about February 20, 2020. c) Stacked boxes of merchandise were observed leaning toward the aisle near the employee break area, which exposed employees to a struck-by hazard, on or about February 27, 2020 d) Boxes of merchandise, stacked as high as the baler, were observed leaning to the side. The boxes were not stacked in a manner to prevent sliding or collapse, exposing employees to a struck-by hazard, on or about March 2,2020. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
