29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 05 November 2019, at a worksite located at 1955-1981 W. Downer Pl. Aurora IL. 60506, employees who were removing and replacing a roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 13 feet. Some employees were wearing fall protection harnesses but were not tied off, while others were not wearing any form of fall protection. No other form of fall protection was being utilized during this work activity. Abatement documentation is not required for this item.
