29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a. On or about October 2, 2019, for the worksite at 619 Ludham Trail NW, Pickerington, Ohio, the employer failed to ensure that eye protection was used when employees were exposed to hazards from flying particles, such as during pneumatic nail gun use. Due to this lack of eye protection, an employee who was installing roof trusses and roof structural members on the front entry door roof was exposed to increased risk for eye injury
