29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment: (a): Workshop - The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment. A hazard assessment was not completed related to PPE requirements for the welding and cutting work done. Employees performing arc welding and arc cutting work were not utilizing protective clothing or proper eye and face protection, on or about, October 7, 2019. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
