29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5): Enclosed workplaces were not so constructed, equipped, and maintained to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, or other vermin. A continuing and effective extermination program was not instituted where their presence is detected: (a) Store - On or about October 02, 2019 employees were exposed to diseases carried by rats due to the employer not having an effective pest control program. (b) Store - On or about October 02, 2019 employees were exposed to spider bites due to the employer not having an effective pest control program. Family Dollar was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1190005, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/24/2017, with respect to a workplace located at the Family Dollar in 2321 N Wisconsin Ave, Peoria, IL 61603 . Family Dollar was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1910.141(a)(5) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1312578, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/09/2018, with respect to a workplace located at the Family Dollar in 188 Broadway Amityville, NY 11701. Family Dollar was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1910.141(a)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1417487, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/13/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 3407 Pulaski Pike NW Huntsville, AL 35810 .
