29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Workplace labeling. Except as provided in paragraphs (f)(7) and (f)(8) of this section, the employer shall ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace is labeled, tagged or marked with product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals. a. On or about September 5, 2019, the employer did not ensure that a container of chemicals used to treat the boiler was labeled, tagged or marked with product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof. The plastic container had a mixture of chemicals such as Sodium Hydroxide and Diethylaminoethanol, which the employees would use to prevent scale buildup in the boiler system. b. On or about September 5, 2019, the employer did not ensure that a plastic container of diesel fuel used to lubricate the Swecan headsaw was labeled, tagged or marked with product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof.
