29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a) Velocity Rail Solutions on August 11, 2019, at the address of 1700 Deshler Rd., North Baltimore, OH: The employer did not assure that employees who perform service activities on the pneumatically pressurized sanding pods were trained in the skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of energy controls. Employees that perform these activities on the sanding pods (tanks) were not adequately trained in the methods and means of energy isolation of the pod's pneumatic system(s) to protect against struck-by hazards.
