29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about July 16, 2019, employees were exposed to a cave in hazard while performing fire hydrant replacement on the corner of 26th and Detroit, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. The employees were working in a trench that was approximately 7-8 feet deep and the employer did not ensure that they were using cave in protection. Noce Enterprises Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1285950, citation number 2 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/27/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1839 Pearl, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Noce Enterprises Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1245757, citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/3/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 9204 Pleasant Valley, Parma, Ohio 44130.
