29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5): Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use (e.g. closet): A. On or about July 16, 2019, Back Room: In the center of the back wall, a plywood door was observed from the main aisle. The door had a screen installed and was padlocked at the time of the inspection. The door had a sign reading "Fire Door Do Not Block". In case of emergency, the sign could cause confusion to employees and delay their access to the actual fire door. The Target Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(b)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 992496, citation number 3, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 22, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2703 Route 541, Burlington, NJ.
